SM Cinema ePlus Card
Now I want to share with everyone the new SM Cinema ePlus Card. Their booths are set-up in all SM Cinema branches. I think they didn't have that much of clients yet but after some thoughts about it, I signed-up for the card. Here's why...
The Starter Kit will require you to pay 300 pesos and a valid ID. Note that this is not a consumable type of credit. Instead, you will get the following freebies:

Screen Saver is NOT Money Saver
Want to save on Electricity and reduce the cost of your MERALCO Bill?
I just read this from an appliance website...
"Screen savers are not energy savers. Use automatic power saving mode on your monitor so it actually turns off when not use."
I think it has a point :-)

The Old Spaghetti House EAT ALL YOU CAN PASTA AND PIZZA
The first time I ate in TOSH is when I was with my husband. We were both working then in Makati. I tried their Bolognese and for me, it was excellent. The pasta was perfectly cooked. Not saggy. On the other hand, my husband ordered their Oriental Spaghetti which definitely a must-try too. When I was assigned here in UP Technohub, my officemates had a lunch there. I ordered their Golden Crusted Chicken Ham and Cheese Crepe with Angel Hair Pomodoro. It costs P175. The meal is worth the price because as my first experience, it never failed me to fulfill my appetite.
And now they have this promo. My officemates are again asking me to grab this opportunity to try their other spaghetti meals. It started last July 26, 2012 when TOSH offers their PASTA ALL YOU CAN
for just P149 and by just adding P50, you can also avail their unlimited
PIZZA. It will be available every Thursday, Friday and Saturday only from 6pm to 10pm. Like other eat-all-you-can promos, no sharing, left-over or take-out is allowed. This promo is for TOSH-UP Technohub Branch.
Very interesting! Let us try !!!

Looking good for Philippine Stock Exchange
Spend some time to read this good news I just read from PMT:
http://www.pinoymoneytalk.com/2012-stock-market-index-gainers/
The Philippine Stock Exchange finishes 4th in performance in the World Stock Market Index:
(YTD as of 7/20/2012)
This is indeed good news and hope to keep the momentum for the second half of the year, and the next more years. This will encourage more money to circulate in the Philippine market and open up more discounts for us consumers.

I am now Officially VIPinoy!
Last week I came across this advertisement in Glorietta, about the VIP card that they only offer to OFWs and their relatives. There is not much in the card aside from a special pass to their VIP Lounge available in their Ayala malls, all the rest are just blah blah for now. I think Ayala is trying to capture the OFW consumer segment to sign up for their affiliated products such as those of BPI Loans and Investment programs. It's a disappoinment that the card did not contain MUCH freebies or discounts that a discount-savio-like-me is always hunting for.
Anyway, my main reason for card use is going to the VIP Lounge. From time to time, me, my wife, and my baby will visit Trinoma, stroll around, and relax a bit sitting on a comfy sofa while the baby is sleeping or just want to stop and play with us for a while. This is where the VIP Lounge would come as a convenient place for my family. We dont have to stay at Starbucks or other middle-to-high-end-stalls, buy their products, just to get that right of stay that we wanted.

The card will cost you P100...this amount will not go into your load balance, consider it as a payment for the card and membership to this program. But wait.. what's comes with the card?
There's 250 pesos worth of discount coupons. Namely:
